Kent and his wife Teresa met and married in Dallas in 1987. They formed the Edge Entertainment Company, which was a promotion and artist management company. They worked with young bands developing their careers, produced their touring shows and served as executive producers for their recording projects. The company also promoted and managed live music venues and nightclubs in the Dallas area such as The Stark Club, The Hard Rock Café and The Arcadia Theater. They also created Dimensions of Dallas, a music seminar with showcase performances, which brought in people from all over the United States for the purpose of exploring and promoting the Dallas music community. This four day seminar was an annual event for ten years.

Kent has been coming to Granbury since his parents built a house here on the Brazos in 1975. He and Teresa purchased that house and became “weekenders” in 2003. They moved here permanently with their three children in 2004. They recently finished building a house on a runway where they can keep their plane in the backyard.  Kent is a pilot. They purchased The Arbor House and Angel of the Lake Bed and Breakfasts with business partner Chris Christian in March of 2009 and are having a recording studio built on the grounds.
